ASL Adventure

  • I am a member of the community who uses many services provided by the Canadian Hearing Society. I want to express my deep concern about the most recent press release/post from CHS as well as Gary Malowski’s interview on CBC News radio on March 23.

  • I have been working on my Storytelling Sign Language workshop this week. I am preparing my PowerPoint to help engage parents/workers to build confidence to express proper ASL this coming Sunday for the next 4 weeks. They will learn the 5 parameters, role shifting, topic-comment, topicalization, and classifiers. They will be able to delight their children.

  • I stand with CUPE 2073-CHS! The front workers protect the services for the Deaf, Oral deaf, Hard of Hearing and deafened at Canadian Hearing Society. As a Deaf person, this has had a ripple effect and the impact of both sides is hard. Damages have occurred since strike started Monday, March 6, 2017.
